External Signaling on a vg200

Does anyone know if External signalling will be supported on a vg200 any time soon?

What type of external signalling are you talking about? I am not sure what you are referring to. If you let me know I will try and help you.

Thank you,

Re: External Signaling on a vg200

Hi Mike,

I'm referring to the folowing command:

signal-type {cas | cept | ext-signal | transparent}

External signalling. The digital signal processor (DSP) does not generate any signalling frames. Use this option when there is an external signalling channel (for example, CCS) or when you need to have a permanent "dumb" voice pipe.

It's available on 2600's but not on the vg200.

Thanks,

I don't have a timeframe right now. I will email the development team for the vg200 and try and get a timeframe for you. I suspect it is not even roadmapped because I just found at you can not even configure connection trunk on vg200. I will let you know what I find out.

Thank you,

Re: External Signaling on a vg200

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. The feedback I got from the PM was that was a toll-by pass pbx to pbx solution so it would not be put into the vg200. He stated the vg200 was a primarily for you with callmanager. Something like that so.

I hope this helps,
