Failover for directories URL

We point to our publisher as the directories URL. It is the secondary CCM. If I pull the publisher from the network, no one notices since it is not the primary CCM, but the directories button is now sending users to a URL that is off-line. Was thinking about a resource record in DNS or a name that could point to two different IPs. Anyone?

You might want to try either Installing the Active Directory Plug-In, you can point it to your Unity if it is 3.1 GC/DC in it's own domain, or point it at your customer's AD. Or point it to another LDAP source...

We did the AD plug in and then pulled it out. I see your solution, but I need to find one pointing to the DC Directory database. Unity is a member server in our org. Thanks.
