My customer would like to reduce the time it takes for the phone to register with the SRST after they lose communication with CM.
By defailt the phone keeaplive with CM is set to 30sec which means after 90secs the phone will realize that it lost communication with CM and will register with its SRST gateway. What would be the negative or positive impact if I reduced the keepalive to 10sec? Is there any other way to speed up the process besides reducing keepalive time?
7905/12 has a big time delay to register on SRST mode
The issue is caused by the fact that our current TCP stack for the 7905/12 phones cannot do multi-connection at the same time and phone has to try tcp connection one by one. Since it is by design, we cannot do much work to improve the performance of TCP. And current failover time to SRST is about 2.5 mins if there is not standby TCP.
