the 1. try is an unrestricted digital call, fax on ATA respond, but the isdn send out a disconnect. fax still waiting.

After 10 sec. the isdn fax will start a new call with Audio, but the fax on ATA seems to be not ready for a new call.

Any solutions on this or best practice.

many thanks

regards August

Re: Fax (ATA-186) does not receive calls from ISDN fax machine

Hello August,

is your fax machine using G4?

As far as I know, this is not supported with ATAs.

The maximum supported Fax-Standard is Super G3

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Geri

Re: Fax (ATA-186) does not receive calls from ISDN fax machine

Hello Geri,

Yes it is a G4 Fax in the First try.....second one it is a G3 (G4 has switched to G3) but the ATA186 is busy (because the Fax Mashine try again after 10 sec.)!

May there is a timer in the ATA186 how long it is busy when the Call has alrady finished?

cherrs

Christoph
