Hi there,
CUCM 6.1
IOS gateway with H.323
4 port FXS
PRI with DIDs
I am reading in some articles that fax machines on FXS ports on PRI DIDs, can only receive faxes and can not send faxes. Has anyone experienced this? Has anyone been able to set this with a working incoming and outgoing faxes?
thanks,
Rdianat

They mean FXS ports in analog DID signaling mode, that is a special telco arrangement. And that is correct, no outbound calls on these lines.
Nothing to do with regular FXS ports when the telco connection is PRI.

Do you have network-clock-participate and -select for the PRI on the GW ?

Please note: I don't have anything set yet. I will be doing it in near future and I have heard conflicting information from some people that fax can not be sent outbound when connected to FXS and when used with PRI DIDs.
My question is: Have you ever set it working this way?
I am not trying to make it work as I do not have it ready yet. I am simply asking if anyone has set it working? This is important as this is a tight deadline implementation and I do not want to get into surprise situation.
So please do not ask what is my configuration.
Thanks,
rdianat

It is absolutely possible to have incoming and outgoing fax work with DID.

You cannot use FXS ports that are configured for DID service to place outbound calls.
