Fax passthrough configuration

Hi,

We have problems with fax transmission. The transmission is interupted when sending/recieving large fax.

As gateway we have a C2651 with AIM-Voice-30 board running MGCP and a ATA-186 (SCCP) connecting the fax machines. We have changed the fax transmission rate down to 9600 bps, but it doesn't help.

We have tried to make a 'forward all' at the directory number in CCM to an external number, but the problem still remains. So I think the problem is not in the ATA186 but probably in the C2651 gateway.

Someone who have any ideas about this issue?

How do I configure fax passthrough in the C2600 with MGCP?

Hi,

we had similar problems with 2651 and AIM-Voice modul (we used H.323)

and VG248.

Later we changed in the PSTN Gateway (2651) the modul to NM-HDV with MFT-E1 => and it works !!!

With V.34 Fax-machines (or "Super G3") only pass through is working !!

Don´t use Fax Relay !

you need follwing commands:

no ccm-manager fax protocol cisco

mgcp modem passthrough voip mode nse

mgcp modem passthrough voip codec g711alaw
