Five Seconds of Silence on Call through a C3640 (h323 GW)

I have some IP Phones working with a GW Cisco3640 and we are having 5-6 seconds of silence when a call is established between the IP Phones and the GW, after that period the call works very well.

We are using G711 codec and H323 at the Cisco3640.

The infraestructure is :

PSTN-----GW3640--------SwitchedLAN----IPPHONE

Re: Five Seconds of Silence on Call through a C3640 (h323 GW)

I would recommend checking out the troubleshooting guide on CCO. Specifically, look at:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/AVVID/fix_1way_voice.html

section Cut-through Two Way Audio Early Using

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/AVVID/ccm_h323_gtwy_interact.html

Thanks,

Dan Keller
