Forward action only when phone is not registered

Have a client with a very large deployment of 7920's.

When phones are registered to CM they want the phone to ring indefinetly. When the phone is not registered, they want to forward the call to a greeting saying something like "subscriber cannot be located"....

Is there a way to do this? Running CM 3.3.3.

Re: Forward action only when phone is not registered

I tried to do this for my WAN phones whenever the link went down and was never able to find a way to do this. With the phone unregistered the call went directly to whatever I had set for voicemail. Now Unity can do some interesting things and that may be something to look at but I don't think it is possible with CM. Anyone else with some input?

Re: Forward action only when phone is not registered

Here's how to do it if you do not have call-forward-no-answer defined on line. It won't work for phones that have vmail defined.

Say you have a phone with extension 2001. Define a translation pattern of 2XXX with a called party transform mask of 3000.

When the phone is not registered, the call will be transfered to ext 3000. When the phone is registered it will ring indefinetly.
