Forward-digits question with FXO ports and POTS dial-peer??
Please see the example below. My question is do I or do I not need to add
the forward-digits 7 to the following dial-peer?? The reason I ask is that on my 7940 phones sometimes a outbound call just hangs, no dialtone, no busy signal almost like my CME router doesn't know what to do with the dialed digits. Most times outbound calls are fine. I thought maybe NOT having the forward-digits command in the dial-peer might be causing the problem??

You do not need to add it as only the explicitly matched digits get dicarded on pots dial-peers, in your case the 9 and the 7 digits are send to PSTN. Your issue could be due to some overlapping dial-peers, make sure you have no overlapping ones.
