FXO answering calls before IP phone rings

Hi There,

I have several long line analouge extensions terminating into 200A signalling boxes then into a VIC2-4FXO installed into an MGCP controlled gateway (2811-V-K9) Outgoing calls are ok but when incoming calls are made the FXO port seems to answer the call before the phone starts ringing. The caller hears a ringing tone then this drops and a then a couple of seconds later rings again, and the IP phone starts ringing.I have tried using plar-opx with no success

config as below

voice-port 0/2/1

input gain 12

output attenuation 0

cptone GB

timing hookflash-out 500

impedance complex2

!

voice-port 0/2/2

input gain 12

output attenuation 0

compand-type a-law

cptone GB

timeouts call-disconnect 5

timeouts wait-release 5

timing hookflash-out 500

connection plar opx 5416

impedance complex2

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dial-peer voice 999021 pots

service mgcpapp

port 0/2/1

!

dial-peer voice 999022 pots

service mgcpapp

port 0/2/2

No sure if there is a setting in CCM4.1 or FXO that would solve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Stafford

Re: FXO answering calls before IP phone rings

The ports are MGCP so controlled by call manager to a degree, so the plar statements are not used unless in fallback/SRST mode.

What is happening is call manager is answering the port when the call comes in, and handing it off to the Attendant DN assigned to the endpoint/gateway on the CCM side so that is where the ringing difference you are hearing is coming from as call is being handed from gateway to CCM, then to IP phone.
