FXO: H.323 vs. MGCP

There used to be a comparison of the FXO features on MGCP and H.323 gateways on CCO but I'm not able to find it. Do any of you have any idea where that is? I seem to recall that it was just a table listing all the features supported in the two different gateway types.

What I really want to know is if Caller ID is supported on MGCP FXO ports in CCM 5.0. I've heard a rumor to that effect.

Any idea?

Re: FXO: H.323 vs. MGCP

Caller ID does not work on FXO ports. This is because caller ID is not supported with FXO ports when configured for MGCP. Instead, configure the gateway in H.323 mode.

Try:

That's what I thought but I had heard a rumor that this behavior changed with 5.0.

Thanks,

I always use H.323 for FXO enabled gateways. This is a requirement for SRST.
