FXS problem

Hi,

I have a 2811 with VIC-4FXS/DID. I have an analog phone connected to port 0. When a call is coming and I pick up the analog phone, FIRST I hear some digits tones.

It means the if the analog phone is number 593, when I pick up the phone to answer a call I immediatly hear 5-9-3 digits tones and then I can talk.

here the configuration:

voice-port 0/0/0

dial-peer voice 593 pots

destination-pattern 593

no digit-strip

port 0/0/0

dial-peer voice 500 voip

destination-pattern 5..

session target ipv4:172.31.41.1

Does anyone have an idea on how to remove these 5-9-3 tones???

thanks in advance

Re: FXS problem

It's because you have:

no digit-strip

remove that.

Re: FXS problem

Hi,

in h323..

But I have the same problem with MGCP and also if I connect 2 analog phones to the 2811 FXS ports and I call from one analog phone to the other I have the same problem (also in h323 and MGCP)

Re: FXS problem

Thank you very very much!

Just one question about this topic..

by default "dial-peer pots" automatically strip any explicitly defined number (infact digit-strip is by default). So, why it works?.. If I define "destination-pattern 593" these are all explicitly defined numbers so the system should strip digits and the call fail.. but it works.. why?

thank you again!

Re: FXS problem

You're welcome, and thank you for the nice rating.

Digit strip logic occurs after the pots DP is matched via destination-pattern, that's why it works.
