We tested this and have everything working using Cisco suuplied prompts. now we need to convert our own PCM prompts to Cisco specific prompts and to .au files. Is there any tool avail for this for any freware/sharefare or commercial product available. We are willing to spend the money and get the thing done.

Thanks

Pasted from Cisco website:

Ensure that the audio files are in the proper format. The IVR prompts require audio file (.au) format with 8-bit, u-law, and 8-kHz encoding. To encode the audio files, it is recommended that one of these two audio tools (or a similar tool of comparable quality) be used:

Cool Edit, manufactured by Syntrillium Software Corporation.

AudioTool, manufactured by Sun Microsystems.

Yes you are right but when we configure to use G.729 then we need to convert those files to G.729 format. We did that and then got them to au format. But our G.729 files are not played correctly on IVR only Cisco supplied files are. Any hints why this is hapening.

Thanks

Im unclear about what conversion you are talking about.

You should use the same soundfiles no matter what codec you are using.

Im assuming that you are playing the IVR on the POTS leg and not on the VoIP leg. Cause as far as I know only 711 is working with IVR on the VoIP leg, but I might be wrong here.
