G729 Codec settings

I have 2 branch offices. A & B. At location A I have CallManager3.1 and at Location B I have IOS Gateway (3640) with 2 FXS & FXO cards. The devices are configured in 2 different device pool. And regions are configured with codec G.711 as default and G.729 as the interconnecting codec.

Now the problem is, When I make a call from LocationB to LocationA the IP IVR is not attending the call, as it is not supporting the G.729 codec. I want to keep the codec as G.729 due to bandwidth constrains. If I keep the codec as G.711 then everything works fine. Is there any way, so that I could keep my codec as G.729.

Thanks

Binoy

Re: G729 Codec settings

You can configure a transcoding resource to change the audio stream to g711 at site A.
