HOW to force the codec to G729 when using ephones with ccme ?

there is no way to make a compressed call with cme.

only g711 is possible from ip-phone to ip-phone if the phones are registered on the same cme router.

Codec is configured at dial peer level. See Configuring VoIP Dial Peers

The codec statement is platform and ios-version specific.

with ccme i don't need to configure a dial-peer voice because ephones are connected directly to the gateway (not to a separate callmanager).

even if we configure codec under "dial-peer voice 1 voice" the call is always made with g729
