G729a and Unity

I have got three sites . I have installed G729a Codec on each Unity at each site. <br>Q.If data comes to Unity in G.711 what happens. <br>Q.Is there a way for Unity to toggle between G7.29a and G.711 When G729a installed.<br>If my data in the WAN is G729a and I have not installed G729a on Unity <br>Q. 1: Unity can do G.711 and G.729 at the same time. So calls will succeed.

2: All 'toggling' is done with you region design in the CallManager.

3: Unity can do G.711 and G.729 at the same time just like the 7960 phones.

So if I understand this correctly G729a Codec is "in addition to" it is not replacing the G7.11 on Unity. In the other words the G711 functionality is always there. Once you install the codec the G729a functionality is added to G711. That s why Unity will understand both codecs. Well I guess the question remaines if Unity does not have a G729a and a call comes in G729a how Unity will react to it. Given G729a is not installed in Unity

The call will fail and the caller will get reorder tone.
