gatekeeper and callmanager register issue..

hi all.

we have CM 4.0. will connect voip service provider.

they offer gatekeepr with H323.

for h225 trunking , i configured router

static nat (for callmanager).

i opened port 1718 , 1719 , 1720 for

registring.

but , it is not registring ,never.

after i configured gatekeeper for testing in internal , i tested it.

it was sucess in internal.

how do i check it , first ?

The problem is because the natt-ed IP is not getting changed within the RAS registration request message. Hence the gatekeeper will still see the original IP of the Callmanager and will try to send the registration confirm message back to the original IP and it fails.

You would need to use a PIX firewall with the fixup protocol h323 ras or a similar device that can do fix function.

we use ios firewall , i finding fix fuction on the router.

but maybe, ios firewall ( router ) do not offer fix fuction.
