Gatekeeper ip address

Hi,

I would configure the gatekeeper ip address with loopback interface but I don't know if I can use loopback0 for this purpose that I just use for bgp router-id.

Could it create any problem?

Thanks.

Regards, Paolo

Re: Gatekeeper ip address

Yes, thats the recommended way to configure GK addresses. If the gatekeeper has redundant paths to the network, you can reach it via the loopback address, even if one of the physical paths is down.

int lo 0

ip add 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.255

router ospf 10

network 1.1.1.1 0.0.0.0 area 0

### I used OSPF as an example, so that the loopback network address is propated into the routing protocol and distributed across the board.

gatekeeper

zone local TEST cisco.com 1.1.1.1
