Gateway without T1/E1

I have two separate working environment in my Lab:

1. IP environment(uses SIP Server,soft switch and SIP Phones) and

2.Telephony environment(uses Soft switch, Telephony server and Soft phone)

My Question is;

1. Do I need Gateway to transfer calls between Telephony(Soft Phone) and SIP Phones?

If So, is there a Gateway(without T1/E1)to test my scenerio?

Note: I don't want to waste money buying Gateway with T1/E1 for my above Test.

2.If Gateway is not needed how can I transfer call between Telephony soft phone and SIP phones ?

Thanks in advance

Re: Gateway without T1/E1

Thank you.

Again the link specifies that SIP/PRI gateway has connection to PSTN via T1/E1. I don't want T1/E1 connection for my test.

Please explain me in detail.

For eg, If I make a call from soft phone(uses soft PBX), it should terminate at SIP Phone.

The gateway will be lying inbetween these two environment.why do I need T1 line for my test?
