Gateway X failed to register with Gatekeeper Y even after 2 retries

I'm currently testing Cisco gateways work under VocalTec Gatekeeper.

I have 2(two) H323 gateways, all 5350 with dual PRI's connecting to the pstn. All of the gateways are running c5350-js-mz.122-2.XA1

and sh gateway is:

5350#sh g

Gateway 5350 is not registered to any gatekeeper

debug:

%CCH323-2-GTWY_REGSTR_FAILED: Gateway 5350 failed to register with Gatekeeper GK even after 2 retries

Has anyone help?

You may need to open a case for this. The config should have the IP address of the GK and the GK name under the h323 interface. You will need a VOIP dial-peer with RAS for the session target and Gateway configured globally. The GK will also need to know the info for the GW. Use debug RAS to see what is happening. If you need help TAC may be your next step.

Can u pass the configuration of the gateways and gatekeeper. I might be of some help to u.

you will need also to synchronize the time clock between the gw and the gk, they must be at the same time zone and so on...
