Getting MOH To Work With Unity

We just upgraded to CM 3.1.2c and and I'm running Unity (tsp 3.0.4).

If I set the call transfer to release, when external callers hit the autoattendant and dial an extension, they hear silence while waiting instead of MOH. Called extension show 'external' as the calling party. We don't have caller-id setup yet, so the 'external' is normal.

If I set the call transfer type to supervised, the caller hears the MOH while holding, but the called party sees the calling party as 'Voice Mail' which is the description assigned to the CM VM port. I want them to see 'external' or the proper caller-id when our telco enables it.

Any ideas?

Re: Getting MOH To Work With Unity

In the release transfer case the caller is not placed on hold hence no MOH. The caller should be hearing ringback. If not, this is an issue between the gateway they are behind and CM.
In the suppervised transfer case the caller is placed on hold while Unity intiates a new call. Since Unity is originating the new call the VM port description will be displayed. When Unity completes the transfer, the display should be updated.

Re: Getting MOH To Work With Unity

Ok, that makes sense. Our gateway is a 3660 tied into CM as a H323 gateway. I'll look at the dial-peers on the 3600 and see if there are any options I need to set to get ringback to work.

Ideally, I want the user to hear music though.
