Greeting Gitters

We have been running Unity 3.2 and have just upgraded to Unity 4.x. Before the upgrade and now we are getting random gitters in the greeting playback. There seems to be no pattern to the event, but if you call to the opening greeting and let it play 3 or 4 times the gittering will start. Sometimes the gittering lasts only a few seconds and sometimes it lasts the length of the greeting. Any assistance would be great. Thanks,

Re: Greeting Gitters

Can you please provide additional information to help narrow the scope of potential causes? Things I would look for would be:

Which version of Unity do you have?

What codec is used during the calls with the problem? (g.711/g,729)

When you have the problem are you calling through a gateway or from an IP phone?

If a gateway only, what type of gateway and what code is it running?

Are you using a transcoder?

Do prompts sounds ok?

Are other greetings effected as well?

Thanks,

Keith

Re: Greeting Gitters

Unity ver. 4.0(2)

Codec is g.711

Throught the gateway only we can duplicate the prob. from the inside by dialing out and back in.

The Gateways are MRP200's with 2-FX/O cards

MRP200 ver. 12.2(8)

We're running MGCP

System prompts are ok, only recorded greetings have problems.

The problem may occur on any recorded greeting.

If you need any other info let me know.

Re: Greeting Gitters

You can try adding this command to the MRP?

mgcp playout adaptive 60 40 200

Re: Greeting Gitters

That seems to have done the trick.

I will have to run it for a few days to be sure but I think it is fixed.

thank you,
