Greeting Loops

I have one mailbox that the greeting loops. After the greeting plays, there is a couple seconds of silence, then the greeting plays again. This mailbox is set to "Take Message" after greeting plays. I can find no difference between this mailbox and others that work fine.

Suggestions?

Troy D. Re: Greeting Loops

The only thing that comes to mind is you may be looking at the wrong greeting. I'd try setting the Alternate greeting as active and make it's after greeting action "take message" and try the call. The alternate greeting over rides all other so this will ensure you're not dealing with a schedule issue or something.

Also, there is a "repeat greeting" setting that will force the greeting to play X times with Y seconds of silence before the after greeting action is triggered. This is for audio text applciations that are expecting input. The default is "0" but it's worth checking just in case it accidentally got set. It's at the very bottom of the greetings page.

If this is still happening, we'll need to be able to call into your system and check "under the covers" on the mail user record.
