Here is our situation. Our IT staff recently replaced our handheld radios with 7920 phones. We are looking for a way to notify all the staff during an Priority incident without having to call each person. Has anyone come up with a way to do that?
You could probably configure the phones for intercom. If a central dispatch would dial the intercom number, which would be associated to the IP phone. All the 7920 would go off hook for an announcement.
or, I'm sure someone has made a third party xml txt message tool to those phone. Citrix Application Gateway appliance can send messages to the 79xx with their broadcast server. Works well for IT outages, weather, reminders, etc.
