GTS and FRTS

The following is I excerpted from Cisco QOS course material. What confused me is the 1.3/1.4 and 2.3/2.4. What is the interface queue, what is the shaping queue, why they are different? Why FRTS need to use priority-queue/custome/Fair queue? Thanks

-----------------------------------------------------

The figure compares GTS to FRTS, based on their main differences. Generic Traffic Shaping:

1.1.Works on any (sub) interface type

1.2.Shapes traffic on that (sub)interface basis

1.3.Can use any physical interface queuing (FIFO, PQ, CQ or WFQ)

1.4 Only uses WFQ as the shaping queue (that is, on the input of the shaper)

In contrast, Frame Relay Traffic Shaping:

2.1Works only on Frame Relay (sub) interfaces

2.2Shapes traffic inside individual FR Virtual Circuits

2.3Only permits WFQ as the physical interface queuing method

2.4 Can use any queuing method as the shaping queue (that is, on the input of the shaper)

Never mind, I figured it out. But in case anybody else has the same question I'll give the answer here:

shaping queuing means the traffice inside the queue. For GTS, traffic in the queue uses WFQ, but queue mechnism between the queues use any of the 4 queue method. FRTS just does reverse.
