I am not sure if it is a change, but i can definetely tell you that the market is checking out SIP big time. Just like IPv6 will solve most of the shortcomings of IPv4, SIP does the same for H323. Actually, the largerst VoIP networks are mostly H323-based, and for most of the carriers who are considering SIP, the question of "bridging the two networks (H323 & SIP)" is paramount. I am in a position to tell whether ISPs will replace the current H323 with SIP, but i know SIP adds more values to their networks, and for once, everyone seems to be following the standards (so far).
