H323 digit strip for authorization codes WildCards

Customer uses authorization codes for LD calls. User dials 66XXXX. for a call. We want the digits to be stripped at the gateway so the codes will remain in CDR records. Currently the test auth code is 1111. We are not able to add any wildcards in the destination pattern. DP has to match exactly or it doesn't work. I have tried 66[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]9

dial-peer voice 66 pots

destination-pattern 6611119

direct-inward-dial

port 2/1:23

Any suggestions ???

Re: H323 digit strip for authorization codes WildCards

Have you tried 66.....T

Only caveat with that is you will have to know the number of digits that follow.

Then you can add the command forward-digits 10, and it will only send the last 10 digits.

Hope that helps.

You want to strip the digits? Do you mean the 661111 should be stripped? If so a destination pattern of 661111. should do it as the default is to strip the digits.

Re: H323 digit strip for authorization codes WildCards

Yes the 661111 needs to be stripped but the we have 150 users were the 1111 will be different for each user. 662343, 662189, 661234 etc.

I would like the destination pattern to have wild cards so I can can have one destination pattern for all authorization codes.

66XXXX.T

Re: H323 digit strip for authorization codes WildCards

This worked, here is the final configuration

dial-peer voice 66 pots

Description Long Distance Auth Code

destination-pattern 66....1T

direct-inward-dial

port 2/0:23

forward-digits 11

dial-peer voice 67 pots

Description Local Auth Code

destination-pattern 66....[2-9]T

direct-inward-dial

port 2/0:23

forward-digits 7

The User dails 6612345551212 for a local call and 66124513125551212 for a LD call.

Thanks for the help!
