Hairpinning E1 ports - Layer 3 issue

Hi all,

I have a typical situation where I have to hairpin two E1 ports.

I have a call coming in as IP. I have to route it to a PSTN and back in as PSTN. When it comes back in as PSTN, I can play an IVR on that leg.

I used an E1 crossover cable and got the layer 1 and 2 working properly.

When the call is made, I get the following error

Re: Hairpinning E1 ports - Layer 3 issue

This error might be because 0x80D8 is an Incompatible destination. It could also be generated when a a data call was made to voice number, or a voice call is made to a number that only supports data. Make sure that the dialed number is correct. If the error still persists it could be an issue with the telco switch configuration. You could also take a look at this document which explains the cause codes.
