Has anyone upgrade the DRAM for Cisco MCS-7835-1000 from 1GB to 2 GB?

Has anyone upgrade the DRAM for Cisco MCS-7835-1000 from 1GB to 2 GB?

If yes, do you know the DRAM configuration on the MCS-7835-100 . Whether is 256MB DRAM x 4 or 512MBDRAM x2 ?

Our 7835-1000 we have in our lab is 2x512mb. I am not sure that Cisco will officailly support 2 gig of memory in a 7835. I will send email to the Business Unit and Respond back when I have an answer.

As promised this is the official stance from the BU.

"We support a minimum of 1 gigabyte of memory, however if the customer wants to add more then we welcome it. The only caveat is that Compaq doesn't support third-party memory on their servers, so the upgrade "should" be Compaq and if not, then it needs to be quality memory."
