Re: Help understanding call translation-rule

rule 2 says, any input number starting with 2 (say 2142372849) if it goes through the translation rule will replace the first digit with 001.

So 2142372849 will appear as 001-142372849.

you can test this using,

test translation-rule 2 2142372849.

Re: Help understanding call translation-rule

Thanks. How about

rule 0 ^0.% 0

Re: Help understanding call translation-rule

With rule 0, you are removing the first 0 and adding a 0 back. In effect, no translation take place with this rule.

Re: Help understanding call translation-rule

Thanks, our carrier require 10 digits for outgoing calls. I checked the CCM trace

CCM||PretransformCallingPartyNumber=48333

|CallingPartyNumber=48333

|DialingPartition=PT-abc-STD

|DialingPattern=0.0[23879]XXXXXXXX

|DialingRoutePatternRegularExpression=(0)(0[237-9]XXXXXXXX)

|DialingWhere=

|PatternType=Enterprise

|PotentialMatches=NoPotentialMatchesExist

|DialingSdlProcessId=(0,0,0)

|PretransformDigitString=00882226847

|PretransformTagsList=ACCESS-CODE:SUBSCRIBER

|PretransformPositionalMatchList=0:0882226847

|CollectedDigits=00882226847

|UnconsumedDigits=

|TagsList=ACCESS-CODE:SUBSCRIBER

|PositionalMatchList=0:0882226847

Does it mean CCM send 11 digits to the voice gateway?

and no translation take place if the first digit is 0

Many thanks

Re: Help understanding call translation-rule

Re: Help understanding call translation-rule

Help, pls

Re: Help understanding call translation-rule

Yep, thats correct.

SITE1-R1#test translation-rule 1 00882226847

The replaced number: 00882226847

May be you can discard the 0 at the friend at the CM itself. of change the translation rule at the gateway.

Re: Help understanding call translation-rule

How to discard the 0 at the CM?

at the translation pattern

Route Pattern* 0.0[23879]XXXXXXXX

Called Party Transform Mask 0[23879]XXXXXXXX

Or change the translation rule at the gateway

translation-rule 2

rule 0 ^0. 0

Is it correct?

Re: Help understanding call translation-rule

Set discard digits to pre dot.
