Help with Cisco ip phones

Suddenly I have a problem with Cisco ip phones because in the list of ring tones only appear one tone to select.

I reset phones and after I review MGRL configuration and it is all ok, and don't know what happen.

Thanks, Carlos.

Re: Help with Cisco ip phones

verify your tftp server has the proper ringlist.xml file. you can open the file for viewing to examine what rings are available to the ip phones.

located at programFiles>cisco\tftppath>ringList.xml (on the tftp server)

make sure if you have more than one tftp that they all have it and it is populated with all the rings you wish to have available to the phones.

Restart your TFTP service. I've seen instances when the servvice kinda stalls, you can also review the TFTP log files.

Re: Help with Cisco ip phones

Hi Carlos!

Which phone model and CCM version.?

If CCM 4.1.3 apply latest SR3a

As Chris stated we need TFTP traces and sniffer trace directly from phone, in order to see if file is being transferred correctly.

Try erasing configuration from Phone and then test.

In TFTP disable caching and restart TFTP service.
