Hide user extension on internal calls.

Hello,

I'm trying to hide DN's on internal calls: when I call to another DN on the lan, that DN would not see my DN.

Is this possible? I have a callmanager 3.3(2).

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Here what I did on my 3.2(2c) CCM. Assuming you want to hide DN 6001 when calling 6002. (work with 2 phones first) Create (new) Partition A, Partition B, and Partition C. Create Calling Search Space CSS1, which contains Partition C Create Calling Search Space CSS2, which contains Partition B. Put DN 6001 in Partition A.

Put DN 6002 in Partition B.

Don not assign any Call Search Space.

(do updates and reset the phones)

Make sure 6001 cannot call 6002.

Create a Translation Pattern:

Translation Pattern = 6XXX

Partition = Partition C

Calling Search Space = CCS2

Calling Party Translation Mask = 1111 (Or what you want to see in CID)

Discard Digits =

Called Party Transformation Mask = 6XXX

Now assign CCS1 to DN 6001

(do updates and reset phone)

Make a call from 6001 to 6002.

That should do it.

Hi

You can do this by using translation patterns that manipulate the calling party number, in the 'Calling Party Transform Mask' section of the translation pattern configuration page.

Regards.

Hi,

I'm trying to do a translation pattern, with the option 'Use Calling Party's External Phone number Mask' selected and 'Calling party presentation' Restricted. I'm still seeing the DN when I call from an IP phone to other.

Do I need to put a 'Calling Party Transformation mask' or can I have a Partition/CSS problem?

Thanks.

Hi, I have done test with that configuration and it works fine.

Thank you very much.
