If I never assign an actual line appearence/extension as "0", can I use the "translation pattern" feature to convert say someone hitting "0" to "100" which is my current operator station? I have tried it but it doesn't appear to work.
Yes, thats exactly what you do, we use it. How have you set it up? The only thing I could see that would stop it working is if you've not got your Calling Search Space and partitions set-up right.
All you should need to do is create a translation pattern named 0 and the called party translation to 100 and select the route option, if you are using partitions make sure that whichever partition you put it in exists in your users calling search space.
