hold/transfer not working

I have one call manager running 3.2.2spE at my central office. At one of my remote locations none of the hold or transfer buttons work. It is only about 4 phones in this remote location. It is a 56k circuit. I have regions setup running g729 at this remote location. The buttons look active but when I press them nothing happens.

Did you enable g729 codec for MoH under Service > Service Parameters >

g729 is listed as a supported codec.

Is there an h323 gateway? Can you try to check MTP required box on the gateway configuration page?

there is an H323 gateway. I looked at the gateway at that location in call manager and it was the only one with that checked. I unchecked the mtp required and reset and now everything worked.

BTW you say the buttons look active, do you get any error message at all when you press them?
