(Hopefully) easy question

We are loosing our receptionist at the high school. Her function is being absorbed by the two secretaries.

My question is, how can I redirect calls to the receptionist (8601) to the other two secretaries (8610 and 8612)?

Our phones are tagged with "In case of emergency dial 8601", so I'd like to keep that DN. I could forward the calls to one of the secretaries, but what if she's at lunch... Is there some way that I can forward 8601 to both 8610 -AND- 8612?

Hunt groups don't look like they'll work since they route to longest idle or first available. Again, if one of the secretaries are at lunch, her phone may be longest idle, but she's not there.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: (Hopefully) easy question

One option is to use Attendant Console which allows CCM to direct calls based on who's logged in at the time.

Attendant Console

CCM Features and Services Guide

If you're running CCM 4.2, you can login and logout of hunt groups on the phone.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Re: (Hopefully) easy question

In CCM 4.1(3) you can use a hunt group with the distribution algorithm set to broadcast, which will ring all phones in the group.

Steve, the easiest way I see is to add 8601 to each phone? Then when one goes to lunch no FWD will be needed ?Hope this helps
