Hotdesking with CP7960/Call Manager

Does anybody know if there are plans to introduce a hotdesking feature on Call Manager/CP7960 handsets?

This would allow users to 'log on' to a phone which would result in changes to the profile of that device i.e the DN of the newly logged phone changes to that of the new user or a some sort of call forwarding takes place...

Any details of SQL updates/skinny messaging would be much appreciated.

I have heard this functionality is supposed to be available "sometime in the near future" which means MAYBE this year. I too am awaiting this for some prospective customers. My local SE's say soon but I wouldn't bet on it being available until late summer (3.1) or later.
