How do I change the number of rings before going to Voicemail???

I want to change the setup so the phone rings 6 times before going to voicemail, instead of 3. Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

I did this procedure on my system some time ago. The problem is that you are changing the number of rings before forwarding for the entire system. This gets to be a very personal thing to users. Some people like 2 rings, some like 4 rings and some like 6 rings. I'd sure like to see an upgrade in the future that would allow this to be set at the line level.

I think I read where ring type per line ,but not duration.

You have to change the callmanager service parameter "forward no answer timeout". This is system wide so all users will be affected.

You have to change the service parameter in CM. It is under ForwardNoAnswerTimeout. One ring is about 4 seconds, so you may want to change that value to 24 seconds or just play with it to get the correct number of rings. This will affect all phones in the systems.
