I already have Cisco Unity VM install with 100 users, we wanted to add a Failover Unity Server. What part number do I use, do I order exactly identical server + VM licensing for 100 users + OS + Failover License, etc?
Or I just buy an identical Server and some sort Failover license bundle?
Will I be able to use Dynamic Config tool for this?

You add a Failover License. Call your sales engineer to help obtain that.

Hi,
Thanks for your quick response, in that note, do I still buy the 100 VM license for the secondary Server and the Failover licenses too? or its just the Failover licenses only in some sort of bundle for 100 users?

Hi Raj,
Thanks for the reply, I have seen that before, but I am confused to what I should order for the Failover Server, do I order the VM License for the exisiting 100 users and the Failover licnese or just the Failover license only?
thanks
Mohamed

Mohammed,
For failover you will need to buy,
a. one backup server (h/w)
b. for every VM or UM license, buy a failover license
c. For the number of ports (16,32,72), you have to buy equivalent failover ports.
UNITYUM-FOVR-USR or UNITYVM-FOVR-USR indicates item b.
UNITY-FOVRSVR4-32 should indicate item c.
if using 72 ports item c will be UNITY-FOVRSVR33-UP
