Hi,

How does MWI work between Unity 3.x and CallManager 3.x? Does the Unity always try to use the last port to dial out MWI? And, how does it let the CallManager know which is the calling number (the phone to light the MWI light)? Is this information logged anywhere on the Unity or CallManager?

Thanks,
-Monty-

The way MWI works between Unity and CallManager is pretty much the same regardless of version. There's logic in Unity to use the last MWI enabled port first and then roll back if necessary.
There's a function of skinny that lets a device go off-hook with the calling party ID of another device. So if my phone extension is 1000, the MWI enabled Unity port can go off-hook "as 1000" and dial the MWI on/off DN.

Does this information get logged within the log files on the Unity server?
Thanks,

Yeah, it will get logged to the data files for report generation. It will also get logged to diag files in diagnostic tracing for MWI is enabled.
