How does WRED drop traffic based on MPD between Minimum and Maximum Queue size
I have tried to search the answer at many places on internet and have asked some experts as well but haven't been able to get a consistent answer.
Here is a QoS configuration for WRED.
"random-detect dscp 38 410 1366 1"
I know that nothing will be dropped when the average queue size is below 410 and everything will be dropped when the average queue size is above 1366.
What happens when the average queue size is between 410 and 1366 when the MPD is set to 1? Does this mean that in this configuration all configration will be dropped once the average queue size reaches 410? It would mean that if the MPD is set to 1, then irrespective of your minimum queue size, all traffic will be dropped and WRED will essentially start to behave like trail dropping all the traffic that comes.
