How to control the QoS for the MGCP backhaul signal?

I have one MGCP gateway in the remote site with PRI and want to control the DSCP value for the MGCP signaling.

I'm able to change the UDP2427(MGCP control) via the command "mgcp ip qos dscp cs3" but cannot find out a solution how to change for the TCP2428(MGCP backhaul). Is there any way or needs marking in the policy-map?

Thanks in advance.

Re: How to control the QoS for the MGCP backhaul signal?

It is strange that the mgcp ip qos does not also set the backhaul, but I tested it with a Sniffer on a 12.4.3 code 3725, and it does not. Searched high and low for a command to set it, but no luck.

I suspect this is a bug, and will be fixed at some point, but until then you could just set your signalling class maps to match-any cs3 or AF31.

If you open a TAC case let us know what you find out.

Dave
