When you edit this file and insert it back onto the CCM, does Cisco automatically set the schema stuff? Do I need to edit this on the Call manager itself? I have been able to edit it with XMLSPY and it sets everything okay, but I'm not sure what is going to happen when I put it back on the Call Manager. Any help appreciated!!!!
I have done this many times. First I make a ringlist.bak file from the orginal ringlist.xml file. I usually am deleting certain ring types due to the fact most customers don't want their environments sounding like a zoo. :)
I then edit the ringlist.xml file with notepad and then save it as ringlist.xml. You then have to restart the TFTP service so it takes effect.
