Hi,
I am able to receive Caller ID from my office, but it is the number for my E1 line. However, I would wish to have Caller ID display for all my internal lines. How do I enable that?

If you are just talking about calling from one IP phone to another you should not have to do anything to get number. Are you talking about name or number caller id?
Thank you,

Hi Mckee,
I am refering to name or number caller ID to be displayed on outsider phone, etc. I am using a Cat 4006 with voice gateway WS-X4604-VGWY, CCM ver 3.1.
At present only one number is displayed for all outgoing call.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,
I didn't quite understand what is the problem but if you want to force diferent number (like direct number so outside person can call) to appear outside you have 2 ways:
- on the route pattern use "Use Calling Partys External Phone Number Mask" and on the phone line define the number or mask(wildcards) that you want to appear.
- on the route pattern use "Calling Party Transform Mask " where you can use 1 number or wildcards. Ex: extension range 1100 to 1199. To appear diferente number on the outside use a mask like 2121333xx, where xx will be the last 2 digits of the extension.
I hope this help.

Sergio

Hi,
First thing you should do is to contact Telco to make sure the CO switch supports that. Sometimes they can only send the billing number or the main pri number..
hope this helps

Thanks for the help, Telco confirm that all my numbers support caller ID. I am trying the transformation, hope to see some results..... I will keep the group update, any further info will be helpful.

In order to have each and every phone display their assigned DIDs on the caller ID, youhave to configure the line settings for each line.
Go to the phone settings, select the desired extension, and at the bottum of the page you'll see the options for line settings.
Display, is for internal use. Type the user name and the last name where the
External Phone Number Mask is the DID that will show on caller ID.
If you have four didgit extensions type : 212422XXXX.
The first six digits will be displayed as typed where the XXXX will be replaced by the assined extension on that line.
Good Luck,

Hi everyone,
I can't get this caller ID display works, what are the steps to get this thing done? Can any other CCM/voice gateway setting offset what everyone has taught me to do?
