How to put individual FXO trunk into a trunk group

I have a 3725 with 2 vic2-4fxo cards configured as H.323 in ccm 4.0.2a. Currently I have to configure 8 pots dial peers to point to each fxo port for outbound call. I would like to find out if there is a way set up like a trunk group for fxo that way I just need one pots dial peer and point it to the trunk group instead of 8 seperate dial peers pointing to each port. Kinda like route group and route list in ccm.

Can someone help ?

Thanks in advance !!!

Re: How to put individual FXO trunk into a trunk group

Danny,

Please see following website:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios123/123tcr/123tvr/vrht_t3.htm#wp1622963

1. create trunk-group (voice port) assign to voice-port interface.

2. then create trunk-group-label (dial-peer) assing to dial-peer level.

please rate the helpful post

Hi Ken, I appreciate your response ! my other question is. Do you have to assign the voice port a preference ? or the router will know to route calls to whichever port is available.

thanks !!

I believe having a preference in a trunk member defeats the trunk concept itself.

Even with same preference ports to same destination within multiple dial-peers the router will nicely balance traffic among them.
