How to Relay Hookflash on ATA 186?

I have extension 1000 setup to connect directly to my FXO port on the router via the dialplan entry:

H01000

Now whenever I hear dialtone on the router - I press the "Flash" button on my phone & I immediately hear a busy signal. Reviewing the SIP Headers, I notice another SIP INVITE message being sent to the router. This means the ATA is not relaying the hookflash - just putting my original call on hold and tries to establish a new connection.

What I need to happen is the ATA relay that hookflash to my router directly so my PBX will be able to process the event in order to use other features.

How do I make the ATA relay the hookflash and not process it locally?

Re: How to Relay Hookflash on ATA 186?

Hookflash by default is not sent by ATA to the GW. Check the system administration guide for how to configure Hookflash.

# Bit 6-7 (22-23) Out-of-band (OOB) Hookflash Transmission Method

# 0 = Disable sending OOB hookflash message

# 1 = By negotiation (H.245 message)

# 2 = Always out-of-band (H.245 message)

# 3 = Use Q.931 message to send user keypad

Thanks for the info - I saw this similar thing and couldn't get it to work, but I may have gotten my hex-to-binary stuff wrong.

Would you mind posting the correct string?

Thanks!!
