Refer to cisco document, i am able to configure sccp for CME transcoding. But how to prove that the transcode is work. Let say i have one CME with ip phone located in HQ, and H323 gateway with FXS located in Site. How to configure to make a call from HQ with G711, transcode to G729 and send to H323 gateway.
thank you

If you really want to use the transcoder, you can use the following command:
show mediacard connections. It will show you the two streams that are active and you will notice that one is doing g711 and the other g729
other commands to check are show dspfarm sessions

actually maybe you will not need to transcode using a transcoder.
you just need to configure a codec g729 in the dial-peer that points to the remote gw with FXS and viceversa.
You can see whats going on using the command
sh call active voice compact if I'm not wrong
hope it works.
