I'm trying to figure out how to monitor conversations using our 7960G phones, where the phone user is talking to the remote party using the handset or headset, but the speaker is also on so other folks in the room can hear but won't be heard.
There is really not a way to do this at this time. The phone is using either the handset, the speaker or the headset and it can't use more than one of these at a time. Possibly you could buy a headset with double earpieces and remove one and wire it to a speaker while the person talking wears the other earpiece and has the microphone.
Liberal use of the mute button while using the speakerphone might work, depending upon the situation.
