Is anyone running HSRP on any of their ICM data routers? We had a problem a couple of years ago, and during troubleshooting, we were told to turn it off. Utlimately, it didn't fix the problem, but it was never turned back on again. Also, there seems to be some confusion if Cisco actually supports HSRP for the ICM network. What's everyone else doing, and does Cisco not recommend HSRP? Thanks!
HSRP should have no problem running in this environment. It is likely requested to be turned off as process of elimination, which is certainly part of the troubleshooting process, especially since HSRP was very prone to problems a couple of years ago.
