Hunt-group in CME

Hello guys,

Below is the configuration for our Receptionist phone. When she is on the phone and answering the first 2 calls, the 3rd incoming call rings for ever and doesn't go to the Automate Attendant (9998). As you can see it's configured to go to the extension 9998 which is the AA. It hunts over all lines and starts from the first line again. What I want is when there's no answer it goes to AA. For the first two calls it does but not for the 3rd and the following calls. Could you please help?

Here's the config:

Re: Hunt-group in CME

Use "final" command under ephone-hunt to redirect to final destination, ie voicemail.

CME will not look at the ephone forward settings on the ephone-dn when a call came in via ephone-hunt.

Also, you do not need the preference command under your ephon-dns unless you have multiple ephone-dns with the same number.

Re: Hunt-group in CME

Thanks Chris,

The issue with final command is that the caller will hear the phone ringing at least 20 times befor hitting the final destination(9998). It will ring 4 times for each ephone-dn (ephone-dn 111, 112, 113, 114, 115)and then hit the final command. Am I right? What I want is when the receptionist doesn't answer, it rings 4 times and goes to AA. Could you please let me know how can I configure that?

Thanks

Thanks,

Re: Hunt-group in CME

You can always set a hop count to limit the number of phones it ring before it diverts call to the final destination. I dont think hops is supported with sequential hunting, you may have revert to peer (circular) or longest idle hunting to use the hops command.

I did exactly what you told me. The thired and following incomming calls don't display on the phone screen. It just Beeps in the ear and shows nothing. This doen't happen for the first and second call. Could you please let me how can I modify the config to make it happen. Here's the config:
