Hunting group new call drop when all member busy

Hi there,

I've a Cisco CM 3.0(9) system with a hunting group comprise of 4 members. We've experienced the 5th call dropped when the 4 members are busy. We expecting the 5th caller to hear the busy tone rather than drop the call without notice.

Is there any work around solution to generate the busy tone when all hunting group members are busy?

Couldn’t you forward the call to a mail box for the extension being forwarded and then handle the call based on rules in the mailbox? You could set a message that says “All lines are busy, please try your call later” for example.
